The Discover feature allows you to access a dedicated Metabase environment, where you can query and visualize ingested data. When you curate, process, and organize this ingested data based on your business needs, you create a data product. Within Metabase, you can then retrieve actionable insights from these data products to support decision-making.

Key features

All Discover features are available in Metabase. The core features are:
  • Metrics: Provides a consistent way to calculate and report important numbers for your team.
  • Questions: Queries that retrieve and visualize data from your database. You can build a question using Metabase’s visual query builder or by writing SQL commands directly.
  • Dashboards: Displays multiple questions, charts, and metrics.
  • Models: Reusable data defined using SQL or the notebook editor.
  • Collections: Folders to organize dashboards, questions, models, and metrics for better management.
