# Create a Jupyter Notebook

> Create a Jupyter Notebook to explore data and build models.

You can create a Jupyter Notebook to explore data and build models. Notebooks run on JupyterHub.

## Launch JupyterHub

Perform these steps to launch JupyterHub.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the NexusOne homepage, hover your mouse over **Tools** and then select **Jupyter Notebook**.
3. Select the default profile.
4. Click **Start** to launch JupyterHub. You should see a dedicated server getting assigned to you.
This step might take some time.

## Create a notebook

After NexusOne assigns a server to you, perform these steps to create a notebook.

1. In JupyterHub, use the file browser on the left to open the folder where you want to save the notebook.
2. Click the **+** button in the file browser. This opens a new Launcher tab.
3. Under **Notebook**, select a kernel. This creates and opens a new notebook.

## Open an existing notebook

Perform these steps to open a notebook you created earlier.

1. In the file browser, double-click folders until you reach your notebook.
2. Double-click the notebook to open it.
