# Create an app

> Set up a new app to start managing its versions, roles, components, and secrets.

You can create an app to set up a new project. This is the first step before managing the app
versions, roles, components, and secrets.

## Create an app

Perform these steps to create an app.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern**, and then select **App Manager**.
3. Click **Create App** at the top right corner.
4. In the **App Name** field, enter an app name.
5. Click **Create**.
