# Create an app-to-role mapping

> Associate an app with a role created in Keycloak.

Creating an app-to-role mapping means associating an app to a role you previously created using
[Keycloak](/platform-components/keycloak/keycloak-in-nx1).

## Create an app-to-role mapping

Perform these steps to create an app-to-role mapping.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern**, and then select **App Manager**.
3. In the "Applications" table, scroll down, and then click **View** on the app you'd like to
   create an app-to-role mapping for.
4. Click **Roles > Add Role**.
5. In the **Role Name** field, enter a role name you previously created using Keycloak.
6. Click **Add Role**.
