# Enable or disable an identity provider

> Temporarily enable or disable an identity provider instead of deleting it.

You can temporarily enable or disable an identity provider. This is preferable when you don't want to delete the
provider. It saves you time from reconfiguring the provider.

## Enable or disable an identity provider

Perform these steps to enable or disable an identity provider.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern** and then select **Identity Provider**.
3. In the **Configured Providers** table, find the **Status** column, and click the toggle button on a selected provider.
