# Unassign a role

> Remove a role from a user to revoke their access to a NexusOne feature.

After assigning a role to a user, you can unassign it to restrict access to a feature.

## Unassign a role

Perform these steps to unassign a role.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern** and then select **IAM**.
3. Scroll down to the "Your teams" table and locate the user for whom you need to restrict access.
4. Next to the user's name, click **Edit**.
5. Click **Roles**, and then select the role you want to unassign.
6. Click **Save**.
