# Assign a role

> Assign a role to a user to grant additional permissions to NexusOne features.

After creating a user using [Keycloak](/platform-components/keycloak),
you can assign a role to the user to grant it additional permissions.

## Assign a role

Perform these steps to assign a role to a user in your team.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern** and then select **IAM**.
3. Scroll down to the "Your teams" table, and then click **Edit** next to the user that you would like to assign a role.
4. Click **Roles**, and then select the role that you want to assign.
5. Click **Save**. The user is now assigned to that role.
