# Edit a group

> Edit a group's name, members, roles, or parent and subgroups it's a part of.

You can edit the content of a group, such as the group name, parent group,
subgroup, group members, or roles.

## Edit a group

Perform these steps to edit a group.

1. Log in to NexusOne.

2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern** and then select **IAM**.

3. Scroll down to the "Groups" table and click **Edit** on the group you'd like to edit.

4. You can edit any of the following fields::

   * **Group name**: Enter a new name for the group.
   * **Parent group**: Select a parent group.
   * **Subgroups**: Select a parent group or create a new subgroup.
   * **Group members**: Add or remove users.
   * **Roles**: Assign or unassign roles.

5. After you have finished editing, click **Update Group**.
