# Delete a group

> Delete a group when you no longer need it.

You can delete a group when you no longer need it. When you delete a group containing a
subgroup, the subgroup gets deleted too.

## Delete a group

Perform these steps to delete a group.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern** and then select **IAM**.
3. Scroll down to the "Groups" table and find the role that you want to delete.
4. Click **Delete**, and then confirm your selection.
