# Create a group

> Create a group to organize teams within an existing group.

You can create a group to categorize similar teams together. For example, a group
called Engineering lets you give specific permissions to all your engineering teams.

## Create a group

Perform these steps to create a group.

1. Log in to NexusOne.
2. On the top navigation bar, hover your mouse over **Govern** and select **IAM**.
3. Scroll down to the "Groups" table and then click the plus `+` icon in the top right corner.
4. Enter the group name in the **Group Name** field.
5. Click **Create Group**.
