# Discover

> Overview of NexusOne's Discover feature used for querying and visualizing ingested data in Superset.

The Discover feature allows you to access a dedicated [Superset](/platform-components/apache-superset)
environment, where you can query and visualize ingested data.

Within Superset, you can then retrieve actionable insights from these data products to support decision-making.

## Key features

All Discover features are available in Superset. The key features include:

* **Metrics**: Provides a consistent way to calculate and report important numbers for your team.
* **Charts**: Displays a single view of data and supports chart management.
* **Dashboards**: Displays multiple charts and metrics.
* **SQL Lab**: Web editor for querying a dataset using SQL.
* **Database connectivity**: Connects to over seventy databases.
* **Alerts**: Sends dashboard or chart alerts via email.

## Use cases

These examples show how different industries can use NexusOne's Discover capabilities:

* **Financial services**: Visualize a dashboard containing processed monthly transactions.
* **Healthcare**: Define core KPIs once, so everyone uses the same calculation, then visualize it. KPIs such as the
  length of time between a patient's admittance and discharge.
